Companies Act 1985: final form changes to annual return requirements
The regulations amending the requirements under the Companies Act 1985 for shareholders addresses to be given in relation to a company's annual return have now been made. The Regulations are in substantially the same form as the draft published in May with just a few minor amendments.
The Regulations are called The Companies Act 1985 (Annual Return) and Companies (Principal Business Activities) (Amendment) Regulations 2008, and will come into force on 1 October 2008. The Regulations will apply to annual returns made up to 1 October 2008 or a later date.
